A blue-branched willowKneels in my heart1
And my tear that receives you
Is the willow’s prayer –dew.
A river runs through my heart
It’s water: silver-silk,
And my hand that caresses your head
Emits waves of quiet joy.
There is a fence around my heart
A small door opens in
And my mouth on your mouth –
Kisses a path into creation.
A small hut stands in my heart
And it closes in/off this moment –
Allows only me to come out to you
And only you to come in to me.2
